Pre-K Registration is Open for 2026-2027! 📝🎉

Avoyelles Parish schools are now accepting registrations for the 2026–2027 Pre-K program, with applications available at each child’s zoned school.

Children must be four years old by September 30, 2026, with eligible birthdates falling between Oct. 1, 2021, and Sept. 30, 2022.

Parents or guardians may apply in person at their zoned school Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To complete registration, families must provide:

• a birth certificate
• a Social Security card
• an up-to-date immunization record
• proof of residence
• proof of household income

Proof of Residence Requirements

Proof of residence requires three items, including:

• one primary document such as a deed, mortgage statement, or lease agreement
• two secondary documents like utility bills, bank statements, or government-issued documents showing the same address

Proof of Income Requirements

Proof of income may include:

• two consecutive pay stubs for each parent or caregiver
• SNAP or food stamp award letters
• foster care placement agreements
• employer verification letters
• W-2 forms
• Social Security statements for SSI benefits
• LDOE income verification forms

Officials encourage parents to begin the process early to ensure all required documentation is submitted on time.
