Ride for Hayley Holsomback

Ride for Hayley Holsomback

Riders gathered in Echo on Saturday, Feb. 7, to celebrate Mardi Gras while honoring the life and memory of Hayley Holsomback during the Second Annual Ride for Hayley Holsomback.

Hosted by Mike and Carmen Holsomback, the trail ride brought together family, friends and supporters for a day of fellowship, remembrance and community spirit under beautiful Louisiana skies. Participants rode through Echo in tribute to Hayley while supporting a meaningful cause in her honor.

Donations were accepted throughout the event, with all proceeds benefiting Atchafalaya River Rescue, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Simmesport. Organizers reported the ride raised approximately $2,000, which will go toward veterinary care for the 47 animals currently under the rescue’s care.

The Holsomback family expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and donated, noting that Hayley would have been proud of the strong turnout and support. The annual ride continues to blend Mardi Gras tradition with a loving tribute that keeps Hayley’s memory alive.
