Sacred Heart School in Moreauville celebrated the Christmas season with its annual Christmas Production held Dec. 11 at the Earl Barbry Convention Center. This year’s production, titled “An Old Fashion Christmas Radio Show,” brought a nostalgic holiday theme to life while highlighting student talent, creativity and faith.

The production was designed as a vintage radio broadcast from fictional radio station “KNOL.” Students placed “phone requests” using a rotary-dial telephone for classic Christmas songs, which were then performed by each class. The unique format allowed every grade level to take part while adding a fun, old-fashioned twist to the holiday program.

Karen Moreau served as artistic director and set designer, while choreography and music were coordinated by Carmen Necaise and Jennifer Best, with the assistance of Sacred Heart School faculty and staff. Necaise also portrayed the on-air personality DJ “Christmas Carol,” guiding the audience through the program as the radio host.

As part of the production, third grade students portrayed the Nativity, reminding the audience of the true meaning of the Christmas season through a reverent and heartfelt presentation.

School officials expressed sincere appreciation to the Tunica-Biloxi Tribal Council of Louisiana for the generous use of the Earl Barbry Convention Center, as well as to the Mari Center staff for their assistance with preparations for the event.

The Christmas production was made possible through the combined efforts of Sacred Heart School students, faculty, staff, parents, and parent volunteers, all of whom contributed to making the evening a memorable success.
