Avoyelles Arts & Music Festival Youth Art Competition
Young artists across Avoyelles Parish are invited to showcase their creativity as part of the upcoming Avoyelles Arts & Music Festival’s 4th of July celebration.
The Youth Art Competition is open to children and teens ages 3 to 17, with artwork to be displayed during the festival inside Paragon Casino as part of the America 250 celebration.
Categories
Participants may enter one piece each, with categories divided by age groups:
- 3–5
- 6–7
- 8–10
- 11–13
- 14–17
A $50 cash prize will be awarded to the Best in Show winner.
This opportunity is geared toward the kids and teens of the parish, giving them a chance to show off their talent and creativity. Organizers encourage participants to tag a friend, share the event, and get involved in the community effort.
Getting Started
Free canvases are available for pickup at Gallery on the Square in Marksville, making it easy for young artists to get started. All completed entries must be submitted by July 1 at 5 p.m.
All artwork will be proudly displayed during the 15th annual Avoyelles Arts & Music Festival, giving participants the chance to be part of a major local event and help make America’s 250th celebration a standout year.
Organizers encourage local youth to take part, express themselves through art, and contribute to a celebration that highlights creativity, music, and community spirit across Avoyelles Parish.
