🎄 Socks for Seniors Drive: Keep Our Elders Warm This Christmas! 🎁

A holiday community effort is underway to help keep seniors in Avoyelles Parish warm and comfortable this Christmas season. Local organizations, including Rapides Regional Medical Center and other community partners, are joining to collect new socks for elderly residents through the Socks for Seniors Christmas Sock Drive.

The project encourages residents to donate new, non-slip or regular socks in any size. Both men’s and women’s socks are needed. Donations can be dropped off at the Avoyelles Council on Aging, 224 S. Preston St., Marksville, or any local senior center.

The goal of the drive is to bring warmth, cheer, and comfort to seniors in the parish, many of whom face mobility challenges or limited resources. Organizers hope the simple act of providing new socks will bring health, joy, and added warmth to community members who need it most during the holiday season.
