Spring Market & Garage Sale! 🛒

Residents along Louisiana Highway 451 and surrounding communities are invited to take part in a Spring Market and Community Garage Sale set for Saturday, April 18, 2026.

The event will take place at the Big Bend Museum, 8554 Hwy. 451 in Moreauville, and will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with vendor setup beginning at 7 a.m.

Organizers say the event will feature local vendors, food options and garage sale items, while also encouraging residents along Hwy. 451 to host their own yard sales throughout the day.

For those who do not live along the highway but would still like to participate, 10-by-10 vendor spaces are available at the museum site for $10 each.

Louisiana Hwy. 451 stretches roughly 30 miles through the parish, connecting communities such as Moreauville, Bordelonville, Big Bend and Hamburg.

Organizers say the event is designed to highlight the area’s strong sense of community, culture and local connection.

Located along the route, the historic Sarto Old Iron Bridge and the Adam Ponthier Grocery Store and Post Office, now home to the Big Bend Museum, serve as a central gathering point for the event.
