St. Joseph’s Men’s ACTS Retreat set for August!

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marksville is inviting men to take part in an upcoming Men’s ACTS Retreat set for Aug. 27-30, 2026, at Maryhill Renewal Center in Pineville.

The retreat will begin Thursday evening and conclude with 10 a.m. Sunday Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marksville.

The weekend is designed as a time of spiritual renewal, prayer, fellowship, and reflection. A.C.T.S. Retreats are open to men ages 18 and older of any denomination.

Cost and Registration

• Total cost: $225 (includes room and board)
• Financial assistance is available for those who need it.

Registration forms should be returned with a $50 deposit check made payable to St. Joseph’s ACTS. No cash will be accepted. If an applicant is not selected, the deposit check will be shredded.

The application deadline is Monday, July 20, 2026, at 3 p.m. A prayer service and selection ceremony will take place during Adoration at St. Joseph’s Church on Tuesday, July 21. A roster will be developed at that time, and applicants will be contacted by the director within one week of the ceremony.

Retreat Rules

As part of the retreat rules, St. Joseph’s ACTS prohibits the use of drugs and alcohol at any time from departure until the end of the reception.
