πͺ Students Give Back at Cenla Food Bank for Thanksgiving! π½οΈ
Students from Avoyelles High School and the Louisiana School for Agricultural Sciences (LaSAS) dedicated their time to serving the community during a recent volunteer trip to the Cenla Food Bank in Alexandria
Members of the Interact Club, Ignite Club and Student Council helped package fresh produce that was distributed to families during the week of Thanksgiving
The Interact and Ignite students from Avoyelles High School packaged a total of 16,516 pounds of produce in just over two hours Their work included sorting and bagging cucumbers and other fresh items for shipment Food Bank staff noted their appreciation for the groupβs energy and teamwork especially during a time of increased need
Students from the Louisiana School for Agricultural Sciences also assisted in preparing potatoes and cucumbers for distribution Their contributions helped ensure that families receive fresh produce as part of the holiday food supply Both groups demonstrated strong leadership community spirit and a commitment to service
