Students take faith into action during Lent
Students at Sacred Heart School in Moreauville put their faith into action this Lenten season through service and reflection. Jenni Smith’s fifth grade class selected a project to clean the Sacred Heart Church graveyard, located adjacent to the school.
Students worked together to remove debris and tidy the area, gaining a deeper appreciation for the importance of maintaining sacred spaces. During the project, students also paused to offer prayers for those buried in the cemetery, making the experience both meaningful and educational.

Young students observe Ash Wednesday tradition
Younger students at Sacred Heart School also took part in Lenten observances, learning about the meaning of Ash Wednesday in a hands-on way. Kristi Armand’s PK4A class created special hats representing the ashes received during church services as part of their religion lesson. The students proudly wore their creations to Mass, where they participated in the Ash Wednesday tradition.
