$300 on the Table for New Avoyelles Weekly Paper Subscribers

The Avoyelles Journal newspaper is a free paper to you, but did you know Avoyelles Publishing also delivers a paid weekly newspaper packed with even more local coverage?

While the Journal is a shorter, free publication designed to keep everyone informed, the Avoyelles Weekly News is a much larger paper that goes out exclusively to subscribers each week. The weekly edition includes expanded news stories, public notices, Hard Times arrest reports from across the parish, lifestyle features, political coverage, community updates, and much more. Best of all, the subscription price is kept low so every resident can access the information that matters most.

Now, Avoyelles Publishing is giving readers an extra reason to support local journalism, and local businesses, at the same time.

Beginning March 4, anyone who signs up for a one-year subscription to the Avoyelles Weekly News will be automatically entered into a special giveaway featuring three $100 gift cards to local Avoyelles Parish businesses. Subscribe for two years, and that earns two entries into the drawing.

Entering is easy. Simply look inside the Journal (our free newspaper) and follow the instructions on the insert that we put inside.

This giveaway is part of Building A Better Avoyelles, an ongoing effort to strengthen community connections while supporting the small, locally owned businesses that keep the parish thriving.

Three winners will be selected, each receiving a $100 gift card donated by one of the following:

Kerry’s in Marksville

The Avoyelles Weekly News is a paid, subscriber-only newspaper featuring exclusive local content not found in the free edition. Subscriptions help ensure continued coverage of the people, events, and issues that matter most to Avoyelles Parish.

The giveaway runs March 4 through March 17, and winners will be drawn at random. Every new annual subscriber during that period is automatically entered.

Residents are encouraged to watch Avoyelles Publishing’s website and social media pages, and turn on notifications, so they don’t miss out.

How to Enter the Giveaway

Find the subscription insert inside the free newspaper (The Journal)
Subscribe to the Avoyelles Weekly News for one year (two years earns two entries). (Pricing is at the bottom of this article)
