Support Staff shine at School Board Meeting

The Avoyelles Parish School Board’s Feb. 24, 2026 meeting focused on honoring the 2026 Outstanding School Support Employees at both the school level and districtwide.

Board members recognized the vital role support staff play in the daily success of campuses across the parish, noting their work behind the scenes in offices, classrooms, cafeterias, buses and maintenance departments to ensure students and staff have what they need to succeed.

Elementary School Honorees

• Adinah Francisco, secretary at Bunkie Elementary Learning Academy
• Max Brown, custodian at Cottonport Elementary
• Jennifer Bryant, secretary at Lafargue Elementary
• Vida James, paraprofessional at Marksville Elementary
• Danielle Sons, paraprofessional at Plaucheville Elementary
• Dana Dixon, paraprofessional at Riverside Elementary

Middle School Honorees

• Debra Williams, food service technician at Avoyelles High School’s middle school
• Daniel Williams, custodian at Bunkie Magnet High School’s middle school
• Melissa Terrell, secretary at LASAS middle school
• Linda Daigrepont, paraprofessional at Marksville High School’s middle school

High School Honorees

• Eugenia Lemoine, bus driver at Avoyelles High School
• Teena Ponthieux, paraprofessional at Bunkie Magnet High School
• Nancy Savoy, custodian at LASAS
• Aytia Hill, secretary at Marksville High School
• David Wells, custodian at AVAP
• Mark Dufour, food service warehouse technician at Central Office

District-Wide Recognition
