Avoyelles Hospital recognizes 2026 Pink Wishes recipients

Avoyelles Hospital's 2026 Pink Wishes recipients are Rebecca Desselle, Glenda Ducote, Ora Jacobs, Wendy Marchand and Deborah Thomas.

The Pink October Program began in 1995 as Ladies Night Out at the local Fox Theatre and has grown tremendously over the last 31 years.

Because of Ladies Night Out, the Pink Wishes Program was developed in 2004 to assist local breast cancer survivors of the parish during their treatments. The organization's mission is to come together as a community to provide education and awareness in the hopes of someday eradicating cancer.

Year-to-date, the foundation has assisted 128 females and two male breast cancer survivors with over $174,000 to benefit recipients during their breast cancer battle. Together we can make a difference in the community.
