Marksville Father-Son Team Takes Top Honors at Chicot Tournament

A Marksville father-son team brought home top honors this past weekend at the 4th annual “Fishing for the Foundation” bass tournament, held at Chicot State Park.

Keith Carmouche and his son, Ian Carmouche, claimed 1st Place with an impressive total weight of 20.20 pounds, earning the tournament’s $2,000 grand prize. The duo stood out among a competitive field of anglers from across the region.

Keith Carmouche also secured the Big Bass title with a standout catch weighing 10.45 pounds, adding an additional $600 prize to their winnings.

The tournament, hosted by The Acosta Foundation, took place on April 25 and drew participants for a full day of fishing, fellowship, and community support.

In addition to cash prizes, participants competed for a wide range of giveaways, including: - Gift cards - Cajun food products - Seasoning packs - Ice chests - Lawn equipment - LSU baseball tickets - And more!
