Free Women’s Self-Defense Seminar set for Oct. 17

A free women’s self-defense seminar will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, at Gracie United Avoyelles, 207 N. Main St. in Marksville, as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The seminar begins at 10 a.m. and is being presented in partnership with the Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana.

The free event will provide education, awareness, support and practical self- defense techniques in a safe, judgment-free environment. It is open to all ages, and no previous martial arts experience is required.
