Darbonne earns national honor

Jathan Darbonne of Mansura has been selected as a member of the Young Scholars National Honor Society an organization that recognizes outstanding middle school students for their academic achievement leadership and community involvement.

Darbonne a student at Bunkie Magnet High School was chosen for the honor based on his strong academic performance and commitment to excellence in school and community activities.

The Young Scholars National Honor Society recognizes top middle school scholars across the country and provides opportunities for recognition scholarships and educational development as students prepare for high school and future academic pursuits.

Officials with the organization noted that Darbonne’s dedication to his studies and leadership qualities helped earn him membership in the distinguished program.
