As the season continues into the New Year, MaxPreps has released updated boys and girls basketball power rankings, offering a look at how Avoyelles Parish teams are performing across multiple divisions heading into the second half of the schedule.

Girls Basketball Rankings (as of Dec. 29, 2025)

In Division II, Avoyelles High School currently holds a 4-7 record, with an overall rating of -2.52 and a strength rating of 3.0, as the Lady Mustangs continue developing through a competitive early season.

In Division B, Avoyelles Charter School has posted an even 8-8 record, earning an overall rating of 1.19 and a strength rating of 0.9, placing the Lady Vikings among the stronger local programs as district play approaches.

In Division III, Bunkie High School stands at 3-8, with an overall rating of -9.38 and a strength rating of -2.2, as the Lady Panthers work through a challenging slate of games.

Also in Division III, Marksville High School currently holds a 2-10 record, with an overall rating of -10.90 and a strength rating of 1.3, gaining valuable experience as the season progresses.

Boys Basketball Rankings (as of Dec. 29, 2025)

On the boys side, Marksville High School leads Avoyelles Parish programs in Division III with an impressive 10-1 record, an overall rating of 20.35, and a strength rating of 5.8. Marksville also climbed one spot in the latest rankings, reflecting a strong start to the season.

Also in Division III, Bunkie High School holds a 3-6 record, with an overall rating of -0.90 and a strength rating of 5.3, continuing to battle through a tough early schedule.

In Division B, Avoyelles Charter School stands at 1-15, with an overall rating of -14.04 and a strength rating of 1.4, gaining experience and working toward improvement as the season moves forward.

Meanwhile, Avoyelles High School has started strong in Division II, posting a 7-3 record, with an overall rating of 7.10 and a strength rating of 0.8, positioning the Mustangs well as district play nears.
