Obituary for Alfred Paul Rabalais, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Alfred Paul Rabalais, Sr. will be held on Monday,
April 27 th , 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral
Home with Deacon Ken Primeaux officiating. Interment will follow at the
St. Joseph Cemetery # 2 with Military Honors. Arrangements are under the
direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, Louisiana.
Mr. Rabalais, age 98, of Marksville, Louisiana passed away in his residence
on Thursday, April 23 rd , 2026. He is preceded in death by his wife Velma
Gagnard Rabalais; parents, Kirby, Sr. and Eunice Kelone Rabalais; two
brothers, Kirby Rabalais, Jr. and Marion Rabalais; and four sisters, Alice
Rabalais, Adele McCoy, Pauline Laborde, and Lurline Stone.
Those left to cherish his memories include his sons, Alfred Rabalais, Jr. and
Roy Rabalais, both of Marksville; and one daughter, Adele Lemoine of
Simmesport.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27 th , 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until
12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. A recitation of
the Holy Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. by Deacon Ken Primeaux.
