Obituary for Mattie Jean Guillory

Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mattie Jean Guillory will be held on
Wednesday, May 13 th , 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church
in Marksville, Louisiana with Father Luke LaFleur officiating. Entombment
will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum #2.
Mrs. Guillory, age 91, of Marksville, Louisiana passed away at Valley
View Nursing Home on Saturday, May 9 th , 2026. She is preceded in death by
her husband, Twyman Guillory, Sr.; son, Carl “Chippy” Guillory; parents,
Neal and Grace Bielkiewicz DeBellevue; and one sister, Cecilia Cole.
Mrs. Mattie worked majority of her years for the state. She loved her
flowers and plants. Dessert was her favorite dish.
She is survived by her son, Twyman Guillory, Jr. (Tonia “Scoobie”) of
Marksville, Louisiana; two daughters, Kathy Sanders (Millard) and Mattie
“Jeannie” Bacon both of Marksville, Louisiana; seven grandchildren,
Jessica, Justin, Heather, Bobby, Chip, Jennifer, and Sheena; and six great
grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13 th , 2026 starting at 8:30
a.m. until 1:15 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Homes. A
recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 11:00 a.m.
