๐ Tigers Roar to Victory: Marksville Basketball Stays Competitive on the Court!
Boys Team
The Marksville High School boys basketball team extended its winning streak to seven games Tuesday night improving to 7โ1 on the season with a 59โ46 road victory over Alexandria.
While the Tigers finished with their lowest point total of the season Marksville relied on strong defense and steady execution to control the game and secure the win. Alexandria entered the matchup undefeated but was unable to overcome Marksvilleโs balanced play.
Alexandria suffered its first loss of the season falling to 8โ1. Despite the loss several Trojans turned in solid performances. Marcus Bolden led Alexandria with 12 points and five rebounds while Jarvell Bordelon scored 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting.
Marksville returns to action Friday night hosting Brusly at 6 p.m. as the Tigers look to continue building momentum heading into district play.
Girls Team
The Marksville High School girls basketball team continued action this season with a mix of tough competition and valuable experience on the court.
The Lady Tigers picked up a 39โ36 victory over Block High School securing a hard-fought win in a close contest. Marksville relied on defensive pressure and steady play down the stretch to pull out the three-point victory.
Throughout the season the Lady Tigers have faced a challenging schedule against several strong opponents using the matchups to build experience and develop team chemistry as district play approaches.
Marksville will return to action following the holiday break as the Lady Tigers look to build momentum and continue improving during the remainder of the season.
