🚧 Wondering what’s happening on North Main Street in Marksville?

The roadwork currently underway on LA 107 in Marksville is part of a $5.3 million DOTD improvement project stretching from W. Mark Street toward the Red River Bridge.

The project includes full-depth base repairs, milling of the old asphalt, new asphalt paving, roadway striping, signage and other related work.

The project began in July and covers more than seven miles of LA 107. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures as work continues, and DOTD asks drivers to slow down, watch for warning signs and use caution around crews and equipment.

The project was awarded to Gilchrist Construction Company, LLC, and is expected to be completed in late fall 2026, weather permitting.
