It was another light day in the COVID pandemic for Avoyelles Parish. With 115 tests reviewed, the parish had only one new case of COVID in Friday's update from the state health department.
It's becoming a "new normal" in Avoyelles Parish's monitoring of COVID in the community. The Thursday COVID update for the parish reviewed 203 test results and diagnosed two new cases.
Avoyelles' mid-week COVID report continued a trend -- with the notable exception of Monday's "catch-up" shocker -- of very few new cases.
The Louisiana Department of Health's COVID website noted that Monday's update includes a backlog of 674 COVID cases.
