For what is believed to be the first time in Avoyelles Parish criminal justice history, two men have been charged with murder for providing drugs to a person who died of an overdose.
This was the scene in front of the Avoyelles Parish Courthouse on a recent "court day" in Marksville. Cars were parked on both sides of Main Street, the side streets and filled the public parking lot behind the Atrium area.
