Acadian Ambulance to honor First Responders in Mansura
Acadian Ambulance will host a First Responder Appreciation Event on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LSU AgCenter, located at 8592 LA-1 in Mansura. The event will bring together local first responders and community members for an evening dedicated to recognizing the individuals who serve and protect others during emergencies.
The gathering is being held in observance of National First Responders Day, recognized annually on Oct. 28. The day honors firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical technicians, paramedics and other emergency personnel whose work is essential to public safety.
In communities throughout Avoyelles Parish, first responders play an important role in helping residents during some of life’s most difficult and unexpected moments. Whether responding to a house fire, traffic accident, medical emergency or other dangerous situation, these individuals are often among the first to arrive when someone needs assistance.
Their responsibilities frequently require quick decisions, specialized training and the willingness to respond at any hour of the day or night. Many also balance demanding schedules with family responsibilities and continued involvement in the communities they serve.
For volunteer firefighters and other emergency personnel, that commitment often extends well beyond their regular jobs. They dedicate personal time to training, maintaining equipment and responding to calls, helping ensure their communities have assistance when emergencies occur.
The upcoming appreciation event offers an opportunity for residents to acknowledge those sacrifices and express gratitude for the dedication shown by local emergency personnel.
Acadian Ambulance is inviting first responders and members of the community to attend and take part in recognizing the service of those who answer emergency calls throughout the area.
The event also provides an opportunity for community members to meet and speak with local first responders and Acadian Ambulance representatives.
While National First Responders Day is officially observed on Oct. 28, the Mansura gathering will take place the preceding evening, allowing the community to come together in appreciation of those who work to keep others safe.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LSU AgCenter, 8592 LA-1 in Mansura.
