Hurricane Laura's projected path as of 8 p.m. Tuesday. The storm will strike near the Texas-Louisiana border Wednesday night or early Thursday morning with sustained winds of 115 mph. It will be even with Avoyelles Parish at about 7 a.m. Thursday with Category 1 hurricane winds of 86 mph.
